Tchoukball

Tchoukball (pronounced as chook-ball) is an indoor non-contact team sport developed in the 1970s by Swiss biologist Hermann Brandt. From an interest group started by a group of passionate tchoukball players in Greenridge Secondary School, the CCA has grown to about 50 members strong

CCA MEMBERSHIPS & PRE-REQUISITES

Students who are keen on signing up as a Tchoukball member in Greenridge, should aim to meet the following pre-requisites

  • Discipline
  • Responsible team player, committed to attending all trainings and competitions
  • Physically fit, active and healthy

CCA PROGRAMME FOR SKILLS, LEADERSHIP & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

As a CCA, it aims to provide the knowledge and skills, for students to understand and appreciate the game of tchoukball through basic skills training such as passing, catching the ball, team offense and defensive tactics. Tchoukball is a unique inclusive sport which promotes the values of safety, resilience, friendship and teamwork.

In Greenridge tchoukball, we strive to inculcate these values in all of our student athletes, to nurture them into useful citizens who are able to do well beyond academics, in order to contribute to the good of our society.
